What exactly does a doula do?
A doula provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. I'm not a medical provider — I work alongside your OB or midwife to ensure you feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout your experience.
Do I need a doula if I already have a midwife?
Absolutely! While midwives provide medical care, a doula focuses exclusively on your comfort and emotional well-being. Your midwife may need to step out or attend to clinical tasks — I never leave your side.
What if I'm planning a cesarean birth?
Doula support is incredibly valuable for cesarean births! I can help you prepare mentally, advocate for a gentle cesarean experience, and provide crucial postpartum support during your recovery.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! I understand that growing your family is a significant investment. I offer flexible payment plans so that cost is never a barrier to receiving the support you deserve. We'll work something out.
What areas do you serve?
I serve families in Marysville, Everett, Lake Stevens, Arlington, and greater Snohomish County. I'm also available for virtual consultations and postpartum support beyond this area.
